The Insecta packaging was created in response to a brief to design a hand-crafted product inspired by stop-motion animator Ladislas Starewicz. It takes visual and conceptual inspiration from the embalmed insects featured in Starewicz’s animations. Designed for children aged 12 to 16 in the mid-1900s, the product CHOSEN, Anorak, 1987, was intended to provide both entertainment and education, encouraging an interest in entomology. The packaging reflects the handmade, tactile quality of Starewicz’s work, combining elements of nostalgia, science, and storytelling in a way that feels both engaging and informative.
